The new app icon looks more like a Google product.
Google has updated the icons for the Gemini apps on both iPhone and Android devices. The new design features a rainbow-style gradient, similar to its logo, which includes colors like yellow, green, red, and blue, replacing the old purple-to-blue gradient that showcased a four-pointed star. Additionally, the points of the star now have more rounded edges compared to the previous logo.
Aside from the new application icons, this revamped star also appears in the home screen widget on Android devices, although it is not available on iPhone. Currently, the Gemini website still displays the old blue and purple design. On the other hand, the official Instagram account for Google Gemini has started to utilize the new look. This change reinforces Gemini's identity as part of the "Google family," as the logos for other products like Search, Chrome, and Google Play also use a similar color palette.
