Discover the next generation of interactive and limitless calls from Huawei.

People now communicate not only through words but also have the ability to see each other, share screens, and engage in menus instantly. Furthermore, an Artificial Intelligence agent can translate conversations into multiple languages.

Huawei is transforming the way people communicate through phone calls with its innovative New Calling feature. This new approach aims to integrate not only traditional conversation but also a range of interactions that users engage in today. The proposal includes options for video, screen sharing, real-time interactive menus, and artificial intelligence assistance that can translate conversations into multiple languages, including sign language. Additionally, there will be the possibility to use avatars that respond to gestures and voice commands, facilitating a more fluid and expressive communication.

The foundation of this technology is built on the existing calling infrastructure, but with a renewed architecture that combines voice, video, text, gestures, and images into a single platform. This advancement, which has already begun to be implemented in Asia, particularly in China, transforms a simple call into a versatile tool for collaboration, learning, sales, and even for creating more meaningful connections.

Silvana Droppelmann, Communications Manager at Huawei Chile, states that “the new era of communication is not just faster; it is more human, accessible, and creative.” According to Droppelmann, New Calling redefines the traditional concept of a call by creating a shared space where technology facilitates the connection of ideas, emotions, and solutions in real time. Moreover, the tool is designed to be inclusive, allowing people with disabilities to communicate without barriers.

From a business perspective, New Calling also offers practical functionalities such as signing contracts during video calls or providing remote assistance to customers in various procedures. In a second phase of implementation, it is anticipated that new devices equipped with advanced chips and enhanced operating systems will enable features like interactive menus, online damage assessments, and remote maintenance.

With 80% of mobile users in China already using video calls, New Calling paves the way for a communicative ecosystem in which calls are experienced in a more comprehensive and active manner. This also opens up a range of opportunities for various industries such as healthcare, education, commerce, logistics, and the public sector, which will be able to incorporate this innovative technology into their operations and services.
