Hisense presents its new OLED TV alongside the 2025 mini-LED television lineup.

The mini-LED brand is venturing back into the world of OLED.

Hisense has unveiled its new range of televisions for 2025, as well as confirming its previously announced mini-LED U-Series line. Among the highlights is the OLED A85Q model, which replaces the A85N launched in 2024. The mini-LED U7Q Pro, the gaming-oriented QLED E7Q Pro, and the Canvas 2025 television, designed to compete with Samsung's The Frame model, are also being introduced. However, it has been noted that the Hisense U9Q model does not appear in the company's press release in the UK, suggesting that its sales will be limited to the United States.

Although not all technical specifications for these new televisions have been detailed, Hisense has confirmed several key aspects. The U7Q Pro will be available in sizes of 75, 85, and 100 inches and will feature the Hi-View AI Engine Pro, its most advanced processor, which is also found in the U8Q model. This processor includes AI-driven enhancements such as AI Depth, which provides deeper images, and AI Clear Voice, which improves dialogue clarity.

The A85Q OLED and E7Q Pro will be equipped with a more basic Hi-View AI processor model, also found in the U7QG mini-LED. These models will support AI-driven picture modes and AI Smooth Motion for a smoother viewing experience. All models are likely to be compatible with high dynamic range formats, such as Dolby Vision and HDR10+, features present in previous Hisense televisions.

Regarding gaming experience, the U7Q Pro will support refresh rates of 165Hz, while the E7Q Pro will support 144Hz and the A85Q 120Hz. The Canvas television will be available in sizes of 55 and 65 inches and will feature a matte screen similar to Samsung's, along with an art mode.

All new models will include the Freely streaming platform, which allows users to watch live television over Wi-Fi without the need for an antenna or satellite. This platform will be compatible with popular streaming services such as Netflix and Disney Plus, as well as UK applications like BBC iPlayer.

In terms of pricing, Hisense has been recognized for offering televisions that provide excellent value for money, packed with features and capable of competing in image quality. In the OLED segment, last year’s A85N positioned itself as an economical option compared to LG’s B4, which has a launch price of £1,699 for the 55-inch model. The A85N was launched at an even lower price of £1,399, representing a significant saving. If Hisense can once again offer competitive prices in 2025, it could become a strong contender in the entry-level OLED market, which is currently less crowded than the mid-range and high-end categories.

Regarding the pricing of mini-LED models in the UK, details have not yet been provided, but they are expected to remain within an attractive range. If Hisense sets competitive prices for its OLED line, it could position itself well in both the mini-LED and OLED sectors.
