OnePlus showcased how surprisingly lightweight its 43 mm Watch 3 smartwatch is, claiming it is the "most compact" model it has created so far.
OnePlus introduces its new shrinking device.
OnePlus has officially unveiled its new smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 3, 43 mm, which will be launched on July 8. This smaller model complements the main smartwatch, which measures 46 mm.
The OnePlus Watch 3, 43 mm, features a 1.32-inch display and a stainless steel chassis that weighs just 37.8 grams, making it the lightest smartwatch the company has produced to date. Unlike the larger model, which weighs 81 grams, this new device is presented as a more compact option.
The cover of its display features a "2.5D micro-curved design," which aims to provide a smooth transition between different materials, achieving a harmonious aesthetic. Its dial includes printed 12-hour indices to facilitate time reading, although it will only be available in one color: silver steel.
In addition to its classic design, the OnePlus Watch 3, 43 mm, incorporates smart features, such as a personal well-being assessment system. This device is equipped with a barometer that measures fatigue every 30 minutes and has the ability to monitor stress levels, providing analyses on the causes of these states and displaying daily and weekly trends regarding the user's mental and physical condition.
The launch of the 43 mm Watch 3 will not be the only event for OnePlus on July 8, as the company plans to unveil four other devices: the OnePlus Nord 5, OnePlus Nord CE 5, OnePlus Buds 4, and OnePlus Pad Lite. These products were announced in advance during an interview with OnePlus in June.
The original OnePlus Watch had been included in the list of the best smartwatches available and was considered the best non-Google smartwatch with Wear OS. If the new model manages to maintain this quality, it could be a strong competitor in a market saturated with devices.
The price of the OnePlus Watch 3, 43 mm, has not yet been revealed, although it is expected to be influenced by the fees that are already affecting the 46 mm model. We will be keeping an eye out for further updates in the coming weeks.
