The Chromecast Returns, Though Not in the Usual Way.
Despite having a similar appearance to a Chromecast and offering streaming services like it, it is not a Google product.

Google's decision to discontinue its Chromecast line in favor of the new streaming device, the TV Streamer, was not well received by all users. However, those who still want an updated version of Google’s old streaming device may find the Thomson Cast 150 an interesting option, although it will only be available in Europe.
This new device, the Cast 150, features a design very similar to that of the discontinued Chromecast, being a flat white dongle equipped with an integrated HDMI cable. The user experience will be comparable to that of Chromecast, as it operates on Google TV and is compatible with Google’s video streaming technology.
The Thomson Cast 150 also supports 4K resolution, the HDR10 standard, and Dolby Atmos audio. However, one aspect to consider is its 8 GB storage, which may be insufficient if you plan to install many applications. The device comes with some pre-installed applications, such as Netflix and Disney Plus, and features a "Live TV" button on the remote control for quick access to free and live streaming channels.
Although the Google TV Streamer was considered "an improvement in every way" compared to the Chromecast, its price has nearly doubled, and not all users prefer to have a visible TV box next to their television. Priced at €69 (approximately $78), the Cast 150 costs the same as the old Chromecast 4K but will launch exclusively in Europe on May 28. A release in the UK is expected "eventually,” while a launch in the United States is not planned.
