Updates on Claude 4 and Why It Has Become My Favorite AI Tool.
I use most of the major artificial intelligence models, but the latest one from Anthropic is becoming my favorite.
Claude, the new artificial intelligence model from Anthropic, has arrived with significant improvements. While ChatGPT has established itself as one of the most well-known chat services, Google Gemini has been leading in various comparison lists, and Claude should not be underestimated. This model, which is actually presented as a family of large language models, includes Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4.
Claude 4 stands out for offering enhanced features, particularly in reasoning and programming, which compare favorably with OpenAI's tools. Claude Sonnet 4 is designed for everyday use, allowing for basic inquiries and information searches, while Claude Opus 4 is better suited for advanced programming tasks.
Anthropic claims that Claude 4 models are 65% less likely to take shortcuts in certain workflows, which is crucial in contexts where there may be gaps. Claude Opus 4 has notably improved in its memory capabilities, enabling it to recall information without requiring broad context.
However, using Claude Opus 4 comes at a higher cost and is not available for free users. Subscribers to the lower-priced plan, which costs $20 per month, may encounter limitations when using this model. On the other hand, those opting for the Max plan, at $100 per month, will have access to much higher limits.
One of the most highlighted aspects of Claude is its more humanized interface. The user experience feels more natural, with responses that seem more personal, thanks to the ability to customize the conversation style with preset and personalized options.
Despite its advancements, Claude still has shortcomings compared to other AI services like ChatGPT. Currently, Claude cannot generate images, and its voice chat service is in beta, with results that are not as natural as those provided through text. However, Claude does offer a "Deep Research" feature, which allows access to information from multiple sources, and a "Expanded Thinking" option, designed to generate more accurate responses by taking more time to process.
Claude has particularly excelled in programming tasks and has outperformed other models in this area. Anthropic has even developed Claude Code, a tool specifically designed to assist in coding, powered by Claude Opus 4.
Those interested in exploring Claude do not necessarily need to pay; they can create an account to test its capabilities before deciding on a subscription that removes limitations and provides access to its more advanced features.
